Easily confused words in English
What is the legal English translation of the French word ‘préjudice’? You could say ‘harm’ or ‘injury’ but for breach of contract cases we usually refer to ‘loss’ (plural = ‘losses’). For example: Party A has suffered financial loss due to Party B’s breach of contract.
Do not confuse the word loss with lose (perdre) or loose (desserré). Here is Cambridge Dictionary’s list of some other easily confused words in English.
